Warranty

How long is the warranty for Pernis products?

All Pernis products are eligible for one year post-purchase friendly warranty service from the date of purchase and installation.  Please make sure to keep your receipt and warranty certificate safe for future verification of warranty eligibility.

Why is there no screen on the main unit when I turn on the power?

Please make sure that all lenses are connected.

What is the WIFI password that we need to enter when connecting the product?

The original password is 12345678

Why is my dashcam video not clear?

The image quality captured by the dashcam can be affected by the following factors:
Distance: The optimal distance to capture a number plate clearly is about a car’s length.
Vehicle speed: A large speed difference between two vehicles or high-speed driving can affect scenes.
Dashcam installation position: Recommended to install the front camera near the rearview mirror.
Lens dirtiness: Use a clean, soft cloth that does not produce lint, or scratch the lens material (such as a glasses cloth or lens cloth), moisten with a little dishwashing detergent to wipe clean.
Lens vibration or shaking: Check if the frame is loose to ensure the dashcam is securely installed.
Memory card speed: Use a high-speed overwrite memory card that meets the machine’s specifications to process and save high-resolution images.
Player selection: Use a playback program that supports the video format and choose the appropriate player to ensure the correct presentation of image quality.

Is there an app I can download to access the dashcam?

Both Apple App Store and Google Play Store can download “MyCAM” app.

SD Card

Any first-time operations required to use the device?

Please insert the SD Card into the main unit and format it.

What may be the causes for my dashcam not recording?

SD Card may be damaged – Please plug the SD card into a PC and try to format it (SD card: 32GB to FAT32 / Greater than 32GB to exFAT). If unable to format, replace SD card.

Camera may be damaged – Replug the camera connectors, if still unable to fix the problem please contact the service department.

How do I format the memory card using a computer or Mac?

It is recommended to use the main dashcam unit to format the SD card.

How do I format the memory card using the dashcam?

On the host machine, enter the menu.
Scroll through the menu and find the “Format” option. (Some models may have different functions and options, please refer to the user manual of the specific model for operation).
Select “Format”. (If there are important files on the memory card, please back them up before proceeding with the formatting).
Wait for the formatting to complete, then return to the main screen, completing the formatting process.

What should I do if the memory card is full?

The dashcam will automatically overwrite the oldest files (except for locked files) 【loop recording】

Can I get a discount if I don’t want the memory card? 

The memory card is a complimentary gift and cannot be excluded to reduce the selling price.

How often should I format the memory card?

It is recommended to format the memory card every 1~2 months.
